Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
The strong data connectivity capabilities of Uniface provide EAI capabilities at the data tier. These integration capabilities are further enhanced with the support of connectivity to a huge variety of technologies including Tuxedo, WebSphere MQ, SAP, CORBA, COM/COM+, XML, .NET, J2EE and web services.
Web ServicesUniface has web services functionality implemented to Web Services Interoperability (WS-I) standards, with the functionality to provide Uniface services as a web service and to consume web services from other compliant technologies. During the development of Uniface services within the Uniface Development Environment, it is possible to generate web Services Definition Language (WSDL). The WSDL can be imported into any Web services-compliant development environment and be incorporated into the development of the calling component. In deployment, the Uniface service can then be executed as a web service, using the industry-standard communication of XML and SOAP.
During deployment, the web service is simply treated as part of the Uniface application, with all communication carried out using XML and SOAP. |
