Ensure knowledge share across your organizationWithin the Changepoint solution, knowledge can be added to a specific entity, or categorized according to your organization's classification system for subsequent easy retrieval and use. The repository is searchable based on keywords, category, subcategory or configurable code fields. The ability to attach knowledge to an entity, such as a project, ensures it is readily available for all project stakeholders in context. Changepoint offers both a proactive and reactive knowledge sharing environment. When the user is looking for knowledge, support for rich data types and full text searches is available. As a complementary approach, the solution also offers a "subscription" model, where any new knowledge posted to categories included in a user subscription is automatically published to the user's portal. This approach supports a central source for all knowledge within IT. Support compliance effortsSpecific types of documents are a critical part of your business process, and can often be required for compliance efforts or industry frameworks. To this end, submission of certain documents, such as a project charter, can be enforced through configurable workflow, and made available to all stakeholders for review, update and approval. Version control functionality enables check-in /check-out capability, to ensure only one user edits a document at a time. All versions of a knowledge item are accessible for review.
