Compuware Covisint to Improve Healthcare Delivery with Microsoft

Covisint OnDemand Platform to Connect With Microsoft HealthVault, Giving Connected Physicians Access to Their Patients’ Medical Information

ORLANDO--February 27, 2008--Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) today at the HIMSS 2008 conference announced that its Covisint subsidiary has entered into an agreement to work with Microsoft® HealthVault™, Microsoft’s personal health technology platform. Covisint will provide physicians with better, more efficient and secure access to patients’ records by enabling patients to grant provider access to their HealthVault records through Covisint’s OnDemand platform.

HealthVault is a software and services health technology platform--free-of-charge to consumers--that helps people better manage, store and share their health information with family, friends and healthcare professionals. HealthVault also provides access to health management tools and third-party applications to help consumers manage things such as fitness, diet and health. Physicians connected to Covisint’s platform will have patient-controlled access to HealthVault records.

“Integrated access to the right health information is critical to helping people and their caregivers make the right decisions, but adoption and engagement relies on trust, “said Peter Neupert, Corporate Vice President for the Health Solutions Group at Microsoft Corp. “When it comes to accessing healthcare information, there are three must-haves: first security, followed closely by usability and efficiency. We are excited that Covisint shares these goals and is committed to delivering an innovative solution and a trusted experience across consumers and physicians using Microsoft HealthVault.”

Covisint’s secure, on-demand approach to granting access to information--regardless of where it exists--makes it simple for physicians across a community to improve efficiencies in providing care. With Microsoft and Covisint working together, physicians will now have a new model for healthcare delivery: a single point of access to patient information.

“The problem and the opportunity are really quite simple: physicians need secure, quick and efficient access to healthcare information, and consumers demand better care,” said Bob Paul, President and COO of Compuware. “This HealthVault-Covisint connection dramatically improves on both counts, and Covisint is extremely pleased to work with a change agent like Microsoft to improve healthcare delivery by matching Covisint’s OnDemand platform with Microsoft HealthVault.”
