Compuware Corporation Names Jason Vines to Newly Created Executive Position

DETROIT--January 11, 2008--Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) Chairman and CEO Peter Karmanos, Jr. today announced that he has appointed Jason H. Vines, 47, to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Compuware 2.0.

Vines’ global responsibilities will include all internal and external communications, investor relations, government affairs and marketing of Compuware’s corporate brand and the brands of its products. In addition, Vines will work closely with Karmanos and other partners in their efforts to continue the revitalization of downtown Detroit and Southeastern Michigan.

“We are absolutely thrilled that Jason is bringing his reputation, enthusiasm, creativity and communication skills to Compuware,” said Karmanos. “This is both a riveting and pivotal time for Compuware, its subsidiaries and our headquarters’ home in the city of Detroit. I am counting on Jason to be an integral part in moving forward in these areas.”

“This job is a dream come true for me,” said Vines, “as I can apply what I have learned over the past quarter century in business, communications, marketing and government affairs to help both a proud company revitalize itself and a great city on the verge of a major renaissance.”
