Compuware Evaluated on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute

DETROIT--March 10, 2005--Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) today announced that it has been evaluated for its vision and its ability to execute in the application quality marketplace by leading technology analyst firm Gartner. The Gartner Application Quality Ecosystem, published March 8, 2005, positions Compuware in the "Leaders" quadrant in the Application Quality Ecosystem Magic Quadrant, 2005: Leaders and Challengers. According to Gartner, Leaders are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.

The report went on to say that the vendors listed in the leaders quadrant in the Application Quality Ecosystem Magic Quadrant dominate the market in terms of enterprise adoption of their products, movement of the industry to align IT and the business, and delivering holistic approaches to quality through the integration of people, process and products.
