DETROIT--September 29, 2004--Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) today announced that it will host a risk-based testing seminar series in 11 U.S. cities, beginning October 7, 2004 in Phoenix. The seminar, entitled "Safeguard Your Applications: A Unique Approach to Testing," is a half-day, management-level briefing designed to help IT organizations make the most of their current testing assets.

Seminar attendees will learn why it is unrealistic for IT organizations to test an entire application and eliminate every element of risk. Time demands and budget constraints make eliminating all risk impractical, if not impossible. With a risk-based test approach, testing activities are aligned with business requirements and prioritized so that the most business-critical parts of an application are tested.
