Changepoint Expands Executive Sales Team, Names James MacDonald Executive Vice President of Sales

New appointment part of Changepoint’s continued efforts to meet industry demands for IT governance solutions

TORONTO--April 12, 2004-- Changepoint Corporation, a leading provider of business process automation software for global services organizations and corporate IT departments, today announced that James MacDonald will join the company as executive vice president of sales.

MacDonald will lead Changepoint’s sales operations including pre-sales, proposal management, account development and sales reporting. In addition, he will work with Changepoint’s regional vice presidents to ensure consistent sales operations and metrics across all of the company’s geographical regions including North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. The position was created for MacDonald in order to assist Changepoint with its commitment to take advantage of its opportunities in the growing IT governance market.

Prior to joining Changepoint, MacDonald served as vice president of business development for Platform Computing Inc., an independent provider of grid software. His more than 15 years in the technology sector also includes the position of vice president, global sales and marketing with Solect Technology Group (which was later acquired by Amdocs), a provider of CRM and billing products and services for the telecommunications industry, and various senior management positions including vice president of marketing and vice president of systems integration at Digital Equipment, where he spent twelve years. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, MacDonald holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science.
