Changepoint Releases Version 8.0

Delivers technology and functionality enhancements, including new Recruitment Management

TORONTO--March 31, 2003--Changepoint Corporation, a leading provider of services automation software, today announced the general availability of Version 8.0.

Version 8.0 extends Changepoint's support for global services organizations and corporate IT departments through innovation in the solution's use of technology and enhancements to the product's core business process management functionality. In addition, new Recruitment Management functionality, built in response to market demand from customers, helps organizations automate the hiring process for both full time and contract resources.

Version 8.0 Highlights

Oracle 9i RDBMS Support
With Version 8.0, Changepoint adds support for Oracle 9i to meet market demand for more database choices.

Product wide Unicode support
Unicode support provides Changepoint customers with the foundation for internationalization and localization of their implementation, by enabling the entry and display of data in any script and language used throughout the world. With a single code set, Changepoint now supports the simultaneous display of data entered in multiple languages; for example, English, Russian, and Korean on the same screen enabling users to interact with Changepoint using data in the language of their choice.

Spanish User Interface
With Version 8.0 Changepoint adds a Spanish user interface option for customers in addition to existing English, French, and German user interfaces available in the product.

Recruitment Management
Changepoint's new Recruitment Management functionality equips staffing teams with a powerful new tool to manage employee and/or sub-contractor recruiting efforts. These new capabilities provide automated, configurable workflow for approving and posting staffing requisitions, sourcing candidates, managing responses, and measuring results.

Outlook Integration
With 8.0 Changepoint now offers integration between the Changepoint resource calendar and Outlook calendars. To avoid re-entry of data and ensure accurate schedules, Changepoint now offers two-way synchronization between a user's Changepoint Calendar and their Outlook Calendar. Users can now see Changepoint task assignments and appointments alongside Outlook based appointments providing a unified schedule view. Resource Managers can schedule future work with confidence through access to all of a resource's time commitments (both personal and work-related). Changepoint users can control how much or how little they share from their calendar.

Outlook E-mail Integration
Version 8.0 enables users to tap into the vast knowledge bank of today's corporate email system to instantly archive e-mail content within the Changepoint Knowledge base. Additionally, users can generate a new email to streamline the workflow associated with capturing critical information within the Changepoint system.

Split Billing/costing
Version 8.0 provides new split billing functionality to provide service organizations and internal IT departments with the ability to allocate or split bills and charges for the same work to several clients
