Hitachi Data Systems deploys Changepoint to support Global Solution Services Business

Changepoint enables proactive management of worldwide services business ensuring customer satisfaction

TORONTO--December 10, 2003--Changepoint Corporation, a leading provider of business process automation software for services organizations and corporate IT departments, today announced that Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT), has deployed Changepoint to more than 600 people from the company's Global Solution Services, Customer Service and Support, System Engineering and Technical Support teams worldwide.

Changepoint will enable Hitachi Data Systems to automate and integrate Global Solution Services' core business processes, such as resource management, online and offline time entry and project management. This will allow Global Solution Services to proactively manage its business in near real-time, through effective, accurate reporting and streamline the use of its proprietary Engagement Lifecycle Process methodology, which ensures services are delivered in a consistently high-quality manner. Changepoint will be used by Hitachi Data Systems employees around the world.
