Changepoint Releases Version 7.5

Version 7.5 introduces exciting new Performance Management functionality and added depth in the areas of CRM, Financial Management and Request Management

Changepoint Corporation, a leading provider of web-based professional services automation (PSA) software, today announced the general availability of Version 7.5 of its PSA enterprise software.

Version 7.5 builds on Changepoint's value proposition to provide global services organizations total business process integration and operational visibility through new Performance Management functionality and enhancements in the areas of CRM, Financial Management, Project Management and Request Management.

Version 7.5 Highlights
Performance Management

Changepoint's new Performance Management capabilities provide decision-makers with visibility into three key assets: people, project portfolios and customers. It enables executives to better manage key areas of their business by consolidating information and providing convenient dashboard access to continuous feedback and analysis on:

  • Individual Performance - Version 7.5 represents Phase II of Changepoint's Individual Performance Improvement (IPI) initiative. IPI addresses the needs of services organizations to manage the performance and activities of employees by moving beyond resource utilization. This release gives users the ability to assign metrics to individuals or teams in order to assist in optimizing employee performance, as well as real time visibility for both employees and management into performance against these metrics.
  • Project Health - Changepoint's new Project Portfolio functionality extends the solution's advanced project management capabilities. With this release, project and program managers, as well as decision-makers, will have the full flexibility to combine and group projects into multiple portfolios, including track and measure the health of these project portfolios and conduct graphical analysis based on key project performance metrics to assist in business planning.
  • Customer Radar - Changepoint's Customer Radar provides executives and account managers a 360-degree view of customer interaction for better analysis and deeper understanding of their customer base. The Customer Radar report provides high-level, summarized customer information, including revenue and A/R history, future opportunities, current project activity and customer satisfaction ratings.

Financial Management for Large, Global Services Organizations
Changepoint has re-architected its tax management capabilities in order to address the complex needs of large, global services organizations. Version 7.5 expands on its existing capability to:

  • Calculate and bill taxes based on the location where the work is performed (or the expense incurred or the product shipped to), the type of service or product SKU, and even the billing address of the customer.
  • Provide support for multiple recoverable taxes.

Request Management
Changepoint's Request Management functionality always has been one of the differentiators of its PSA solution. In Version 7.5, Changepoint's flexible Request Management engine has been enhanced to:

  • Extend change management and issue tracking capabilities associated with a project.
  • Ensure greater flexibility and better management of requests. Users can now generate an Opportunity, Engagement, Project or Task from approved requests.

Opportunity Management
Enhancements to the CRM functionality in Version 7.5 will aid sales forecasting and provide greater customer visibility. Version 7.5 provides tighter integration between Changepoint's opportunity management and the resource planning process.

  • Version 7.5 enables more detailed services forecasting. The outcome is better revenue forecasting, more effective resource forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Version 7.5 also builds on Changepoint's mobility strategy by offering Offline Opportunity Management to ensure greater productivity for road warriors. Sales representatives can create, update and manage their own opportunities while on the road, whether or not they have access to the network.

Global Enterprise Readiness
Version 7.5 includes usability enhancements that make the application easier for large, distributed organizations to configure and navigate, such as Flexible Field Validations, Quick Search on the Toolbar, Resource Selection Filter and Central Time and Expense Approval, to name a few.
