Compuware Announces Senior Management Changes
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — January 8, 2001 — Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR) today announced several senior management changes. Compuware Chairman and CEO Peter Karmanos, Jr., appointed Alan Cantrell to the position of Senior Vice President, Professional Services Division, replacing Tom Vadnais, who has decided to leave Compuware. As former president of Data Processing Resources Corporation (DPRC), Tom helped facilitate the integration of DPRC into Compuware and increase the sales and service focus of Compuware’s Professional Services Division. Cantrell will be responsible for managing professional services worldwide and for setting the strategic direction of the division. Cantrell joined Compuware in 1990 as a Director in the Professional Services Division where he initially assisted in the sales and management of major professional services projects. Cantrell has served as Vice President, Enterprise Solutions, North America (UNIFACE) and most recently as Vice President, Alternate Channels. Karmanos also announced the appointment of Lisa Elkin to the position of Director, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, replacing Beth Chappell, who has elected to leave Compuware. Chappell will retain her seat on Compuware’s Board of Directors. Elkin’s responsibilities will include internal employee communications and external communications with investors, industry analysts and the local and national media. Elkin joined the company in 1991 and has spent her entire career with Compuware. Elkin has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in corporate communications, public relations and investor relations. She has served as Manager of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations since 1997. Finally, Karmanos announced that Eliot R. Stark, Executive Vice President, Finance has chosen to leave Compuware. No replacement has been named. "Compuware must attack the market as we have in the past," Karmanos said.
