Compuware Teams with Farmington Hills Fire Department To Benefit Families of Missing and Fallen Firefighters
Benefit to Be Held Sunday, September 23 at Compuware Corporate HQ
FARMINGTON HILLS -- September 21, 2001 -- Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR) today announced that it is teaming up with the Farmington Hills Fire Department to host a benefit event for the families of those New York City Fire Department firefighters who were lost or are missing because of last week's tragic events. The benefit event will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at Compuware's corporate headquarters at the intersection of Northwestern Highway and Middlebelt Road in Farmington Hills. The benefit will feature games, food, entertainment and a bake sale. "Our company is deeply saddened by this tragedy," said Denise Knobblock, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Administration, Compuware Corporation. "We're grateful to have this opportunity to help the families of these brave men and women and make a difference for some of those who were most directly affected by these shameful acts." Those who are unable to attend the event in person may make a contribution payable to the Farmington Hills Fire Department, Station #1, 31455 W. Eleven Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48335. Contributions will be routed by the FHFD to benefit the families of NYFD firefighters. "The Farmington Hills firefighters and their families want to help in any way we can," said Chief Richard Marinucci of the Farmington Hills Fire Department. "We know the best way is to financially support the families of those who have died in this awful tragedy. Please join us in helping our fellow firefighters."
