Compuware OptimalView Extends Platform Support to AIX and Solaris
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- October 8, 2001 -- Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR) has extended the platform support of its business integration portal to include Sun Solaris 7 (32bit) and IBM AIX 4.3.3 (32bit), in addition to Windows NT and Windows 2000, with the launch of OptimalView 2.1. These technology enhancements have been added only three months after the introduction of the product and are a direct response to what customers said they wanted. OptimalView 2.1 also includes additional technology extensions, such as the support for localized versions. It will be available in a number of key European and Asian languages in the coming months. Don Ragan, PhD, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Detroit Medical Center said, "Within three months of the launch of OptimalView, Compuware has met our requirement to support various types of UNIX including Solaris, AIX and HP-UX. This is an incredible turn-around time and proof that Compuware is committed to providing the most open, scalable and platform-independent portal framework in the industry. OptimalView blends with Detroit Medical Center's existing infrastructure and this reduces cost and the risks of portal deployment." Database support has also been extended to include Informix 7.3x, Informix 9.20 and MS SQL Server 2000. OptimalView runs on Internet Explorer 5.5 and Netscape 4.0 and higher.
