Study Confirms Customers Continue to Find Value in Compuware People, Products and Services

For Second Consecutive Year, Clients Praise Quality of Compuware Software and People

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- November 14, 2000 -- Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR) today announced the results of a customer satisfaction survey conducted by Hurwitz Group, an independent industry research organization. The Hurwitz survey showed that, for the second year in a row, high percentages of respondents believe Compuware delivers value to its clients through high quality products that increase productivity and reduce application time to market. The survey also indicated that most clients give high marks to Compuware's sales and technical support people for their knowledge and professionalism.

During the summer and fall of 1999 and 2000, Hurwitz Group contacted 200 Compuware clients to measure their perception of the company, its products and services and its sales team. The following percentages of respondents agreed with: "the following statement describes your impressions of Compuware's offerings."

The average size of IT departments surveyed was 231 people. Respondents had, on average, been Compuware customers for 10.7 years.
