Compuware Corporation and The Parade Company Launch New Web Site
Compuware Builds and Tests Web Site for Organizer of America's Thanksgiving Parade®
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- November 2, 2000 -- Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR) and The Parade Company today unveiled a new web site, http://www.theparade.org, that will allow The Parade Company to use the Internet to connect with children, volunteers, sponsors and other fans of America's Thanksgiving Parade® around the world. The web site was created and tested by Compuware professionals using Compuware products. "The Parade Company is thrilled about our strong partnership with Compuware Corporation," said Susie Gross, President of The Parade Company. "Theparade.org will allow thousands of people across the globe to come home to Detroit for the holidays via the Internet. We think it's a wonderful way for children to experience the enjoyment and excitement of all of our events." Compuware designed The Parade Company web site to allow fans everywhere to see activities from America's Thanksgiving Parade®, which will take place in downtown Detroit on Thanksgiving morning. The site also has a number of interactive areas allowing, for example, kids to go to the web site and get forms and background information for the Skillman Foundation Design contest, which allows them to submit ideas for floats. Sponsors and potential sponsors can also utilize the site to get information about supporting The Parade Company. In addition to coordinating the parade, The Parade Company is a full-service events organization. The Parade Company wanted the site to communicate the depth of their company's expertise and to provide new avenues for sponsorship and involvement in the parade. Compuware services professionals created the site to meet these key business objectives in a creative and interactive way. Additionally, Compuware professionals used Compuware QALoad to test the site, helping to ensure it can withstand the heavy traffic anticipated on and around Thanksgiving Day. Finally, Compuware staff will use their web testing and monitoring solution, PointForward, to measure the quality and performance of the web site on an ongoing basis. "We've had a lot of fun working on this project," said Larry Freed, Vice President, e-Business Group, Compuware Corporation. "Our expertise and software have not only helped us to create and design an effective business tool for The Parade Company, but have helped to ensure its availability and performance. We wanted to make sure that everyone who hoped to be a part of this terrific event could do so, no matter where they are in the world."
