Now Playing: Compuware Builds Web Site for Hallmark Entertainment in Record Time

Future Phases to Deliver Full Intranet for Employees, Extranet for Worldwide Distribution Partners and Broadcast Networks

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- June 21, 2000 -- Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ:CPWR) announced today that it has partnered with Hallmark Entertainment, Inc., the world's leading producer and distributor of miniseries and television movies, to create www.hallmarkentertainment.com. The site, which was implemented in just over two months, launched on April 17, 2000. The site provides promotional information--including a synopsis, photos and, soon, trailers viewable with either QuickTime or Media Player--on Hallmark Entertainment's recent and upcoming television miniseries, including Don Quixote, Arabian Nights and Jason and the Argonauts. The site also includes a link to parent company Hallmark's gift site, where consumers can purchase videos of Hallmark Entertainment productions.

The second phase of the project, an Intranet site for corporate news, Human Resources information, internal online training and other corporate information for employees worldwide, is scheduled to be implemented by July 2000. The third phase of the implementation will provide international distribution partners and broadcast networks with a password-protected site to obtain digital photography, promotional trailers and screeners for upcoming events, replacing the time-consuming development of print packages and slides. Site design and implementation is being performed by Compuware's Digital Development Center in Kansas City, MO.

"We are quite pleased to work with such a fine organization," said Whitney Vliet, Vice President, New Media at Hallmark Entertainment. "We value their ability to quickly understand our business and communicate this vision to the consumer."

"As Hallmark Entertainment brings the classics to television, Compuware is helping bring greater interactive communication to Hallmark Entertainment," said Larry Freed, Vice President of Compuware Divisional Practices. "For businesses that must find better means to communicate with employees, customers and other businesses, Compuware has the skills, technology and experience to bring effective web sites to fruition, and help keep them effective."
