Compuware Announces Preliminary Financial Results for Fourth Quarter Fiscal 2000

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- April 12, 2000 -- Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ:CPWR) today announced preliminary financial results for its fourth quarter ended March 31, 2000. Compuware estimates its fourth quarter revenues will be in a range of $566-to-$581 million. Software license fee revenues are estimated to be in a range of $193-to-$198 million. Maintenance revenues are estimated to be in a range of $113-to-$118 million. Revenues from professional services are estimated to be in a range of $260-to-$265 million. Earnings per share (diluted computation before amortization expense) are estimated to be in a range of $.13 to $.15.

Compuware expects to announce final results for its fourth quarter on Monday, May 1, 2000.
