Stephen P. Karniotis, Technical Alliance Manager/ Product Manager, Compuware Corporation

Stephen Karniotis has responsibility for Compuware's Technical Alliance with Oracle Corporation as well as responsibility for Oracle functionality within all of Compuware's Enterprise products. Upon joining Compuware in 1985, Karniotis' primary responsibilities focused on training personnel on various software packages including DB2, IMS, Oracle and MVS. He transitioned into exclusively supporting Oracle technology in 1989 as an applications developer and database administrator on Unix, MVS, OpenVMS and Windows platforms. Recent Oracle engagements include designing the hardware architecture and recovery strategies for several Oracle-centric customers of Compuware. He is actively involved in the various user group organizations revolving around Oracle technology including the International Oracle User's Group (IOUG) and the Detroit Oracle User Group, where his participation includes speaking and determining the strategic focus at these events. Karniotis graduated from Wayne State University with both a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Information Systems Technology.
