Author Quote:

''Written specifically for the IT leader tasked with delivering service to the business, this guide will talk about IT's perception of monitoring and how that perception sometimes misses the mark of what the business is truly interested in. We'll discuss how a top-down approach to monitoring business systems can provide a solution set to overcome that dissonance. In addition, we'll go into the operational aspects of measuring service availability and performance, not only from the perspective of IT but also from the perspective of the customer. That measurement will include metrics that validate or invalidate the success of IT in terms of providing and hosting business services that ultimately run the business.''
