System Requirements

System Requirements for Optimal TraceTM into Test Director Integration:

 

-          Pentium 3-class processor or equivalent

-          256 MB of RAM

-          5 MB of available hard disk space

-          Microsoft Windows 2000/XP

-          Optimal Trace Enterprise 4.1

-          Quality Center 9.0

-          Adobe Acrobat Reader for Optimal TraceTM into Test Director Integration Help File

 

Optimal TraceTM into Test Director Integration has not been tested to run on Windows 95/98, and is not supported on these platforms.

Installation Instructions 

To Install Optimal TraceTM into Test Director Integration 1.4 SP1

 

-          Ensure you have at least 5 MB of available disk space

-          Ensure you have uninstalled any previous releases of Optimal TraceTM into Test Director Integration (See next section for details)

-          Run the Optimal_Trace_into_TestDirector_Integration_Install_1.4_SP1.exe file to install.

 

 

To Uninstall Optimal TraceTM into Test Director Integration 1.4 SP1

 

-          On the Start menu select Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs

-          Select Optimal TraceTM into Test Director Integration 1.4 and press the Add/Remove... button.

 

Never uninstall by just deleting files. This may prevent future installations of Optimal TraceTM into Test Director Integration from working.

Issues Resolved in Service Pack 1

Issue No 7554

Overwriting root package tests causes import errors: This issue has been resolved in SP1

 

Issue No 7555

Errors received when importing large project: This issue has been resolved in SP1

 

Issue No 7572

Unexpected error when importing to Quality Center project previously migrated from Test Director: This issue has been resolved in SP1

To use Optimal Trace with Quality Center 9.0 open the Quality Center - Site Administration tool, navigate to Site Configuration and add the following parameter/value :
