Jam Session: Compuware, Hard Rock Cafe and Local Musicians Team Up to Pay Tribute to the Motown Sound

 

DETROIT, Feb. 29, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Talented musicians from Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR) and beyond will be performing some of Motown's greatest hits on Thursday, March 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hard Rock Café. The public is invited.

The jam session is part of a month-long tribute to the legendary Detroit sound sponsored by Compuware's African-American Employee Resource Group and the Hard Rock Café.

Local bands SoulQuest, the Kern Block and Flywheel will be in attendance, as well as renowned Motown trumpeter Maurice Davis. Compuware's resident Motown expert, Chief Technology Officer Paul Czarnik, will be on the keyboard.

On the menu will be appetizers and special Motown cocktails.
