Compuware to Feature Industry Analyst Al Hilwa and CEO of SitePen Dylan Schiemann at the North America Uniface User Group Event

DETROIT and AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Sept. 14, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR), the technology performance company, today announced that its Uniface Business Unit will feature analyst Al Hilwa from IDC and Dylan Schiemann, CEO SitePen and co-founder of the Dojo Toolkit as keynote speakers at the North America Uniface User Group (NAUUG) event.

Al Hilwa will address the latest trends in the evolving landscape of developer ecosystems clustering around different application platforms, programming languages and development tools. Additionally, Dylan Schiemann will share how the Dojo-Uniface partnership continues to expand capabilities for productively building enterprise-capable Rich Internet Applications.

"The landscape in front of developers is transforming rapidly with several significant shifts in the industry around client side development and mobile devices, server side development and cloud platforms," said Al Hilwa, Program Director for Application Development, IDC. "These transformations are making the search for application tools and platforms that continue to provide productivity through such upheavals that much more complex."

From October 3-5, 2011, Uniface practitioners from across North America will meet in Scottsdale, Arizona for the three-day event where, in addition to the keynote speakers, sessions will cover the Uniface roadmap, customer success stories, technical demos and hands-on workshops. Registration for the event is now open.

"The NAUUG conference provides a platform to hear from industry visionaries while getting the latest Uniface technical updates," said Karl Sup, Director at JDA Software and President of NAUUG. "The level of expertise and information available to attendees at this event is without compare. I look forward to welcoming the North American Uniface user community to this valuable event."

"We are excited to share the Uniface roadmap, including our vision on critical decisions organizations are facing for their enterprise applications," said Adrian Gosbell, Director Product Management, Uniface Business Unit for Compuware Corporation. "The NAUUG conference provides us with an excellent opportunity to capture customer feedback on roadmap topics such as the cloud, Web Services and Rich Internet Applications."
